Fuel your body and your brain!

First Tuesdays | 6:30 pm
St. Joseph Medical Center
Sept 3

Do people think you’re a dumb jock(ette) just because you love running and walking? Come to next KCE meeting and improve your vocabulary! You’ll learn all about the word “epigenetics” so you can sprinkle it into your conversations!

Our speaker, Kendra Wyatt, will focus on new ways of thinking about women and heart disease all across the lifespan. Though we’ve known there is a hereditary component to cardiovascular disease, the study of epigenetics looks at how gene expression can be influenced by outside factors, whether physical, chemical, or lifestyle. Come and learn more to help yourself, your daughters, and your granddaughters improve cardiac health.

Kendra is an entrepreneur in women’s health and co-founder of New Birth Centers, an MD5K sponsor the last 3 years.
