Feb is heart month– show your ticker some love!

We’ll sample three things that are good for the heart: strength training, dark chocolate and red wine. Coach Helen Wilms will teach some strength exercises you can do at home. (Dress comfortably!) Then KCE member and dedicated foodie Deb Powell will share a few wine and chocolate pairings.


When: We begin at 6:30 pm for drinks, a light dinner, and time to catch up with friends. From 7:00–8:30 we have a speaker, discussion, or activity of interest to women, and we conclude with a short business meeting.

Where: We meet in the Community Center, Building D, at St. Joseph Medical Center, I-435 and Stateline Road, in the auditorium. (Follow signs to the Emergency Room, then go past it to reach the Community Center, Building D).

– ACE Certified Health Coach Candice McField offers tips to meet your fitness goals for the New Year! (Note: date changed to 2nd Tuesday due to holiday conflict.)

April 2 – Volunteer to run or walk with the AdventHealth Women’s Training Team, to help them prepare for our own MD5K.  AdventHealth – Overland Park

May 7 – Women Training Team continues at AdventHealth, 7820 W 165th Street, Overland Park, KS.  Run or walk with participants, and stay for the Poster Party! Help create the fantastic posters that line the MD5K course.
