STARTING LINE FORMATION

Line up by the sign for your pace. Runners start first (line up by the 8, 10, & 12 mile-per-minute pace signs), followed by Run/Walk Mix, then Fast Walkers, then Relaxed Walkers. Those with baby strollers, please line up by the Stroller Wave sign.

Volunteers and signs will help you line up.  Your cooperation will help ensure a safe start. THANK YOU!  See MD5K Start/Finish map for details.

PARKING

Parking is plentiful in Corporate Woods. Enter Corporate Woods from either Antioch or College Boulevard (look for signs with arrows). Plan to arrive no later than 7:15 am as Overland Park Police restrict traffic around the course after 7:30 am. See Course/Parking map for details.

START & FINISH

Start Line & Finish Line are next to Building 40, 9401 Indian Creek Parkway, marked  by our beautiful balloon arch and balloon columns.

RACE NUMBER

Pin on the front of your shirt.

CHIP

You will be timed electronically by computer timing chip. Your chip is attached to the back of your race bib.  Your chip time is recorded when you cross the start and finish lines, and is not affected by when other groups start. But you must cross both the start and finish lines to receive an official time in Race Results.

WATER

We encourage you to bring your own water bottle.  However, we will have water available near the halfway point and at the Finish Line.

COURSE SAFETY

Course safety is important. Although the course is monitored by Overland Park Police and our volunteers, please be careful, follow instructions, and watch out for vehicles.

RESULTS & AWARDS

Your results will be available race morning under the big tent.  Please check in to see if you have finished in the top three in your age group, so you can pick up your award!

Review of the waiver you signed

For everyone’s safety, no headsets or similar devices, skates, bicycles, wagons, dogs, or motorized vehicles are allowed on the course. Strollers or baby joggers must start at the back and may walk only. Please keep your child in the stroller while out on the race course.

Note: The Mother’s Day 5K will take place rain or shine. In the unlikely event of dangerous weather, the race director may cancel or amend the race for everyone’s safety. No refunds will be given.
